Make Time For Advice

If you are self employed or earn a lot of your money through non-traditional channels, you need to make some time for financial advice during this tough period.

It might seem like there are not enough hours in the day – you might be trying to run a business and working every hour just to break even. Or you might be chasing sales and commission, coming into work early and leaving later just to meet bonus levels. Or you might be a freelancer, working on 10 different assignments just to get by this month.

It's hard when you are working alone, and it's even harder when you are working alone during a recession. There are less opportunities for making money, and there are always more bills. That's why you need to make sure you have your finances in order.

You might be hemorrhaging money through risky, unsecured loans. You might be paying way over the odds for a mortgage by sitting on a Standard Variable Rate. Or simply, you could just be missing out on the best deals out there. Even if you could just save one or two hundred pounds a week, wouldn't that make life easier?

And you can. Just by remortgaging, or consolidating debt or even rearranging finances so your money works hard for you. The bills will not go away, and you will still have to work as hard as you can, but it will make things that bit easier.

So make some time and talk to your financial adviser. Think of it as taking time out to make money – good advice will save you money and will make sour life as a self certifiable earner a whole lot easier.
