Make Your Business Greener And Save Money
Businesses can save money and help exceed energy targets at the same time – so maybe it’s time your business went green, it's a win-win situation for you and the environment.
Allianz Engineering is urging more businesses to reduce their carbon footprint and save money on their annual energy costs as it becomes more apparent that the UK is not meeting its global carbon footprint targets.
It makes business sense to go green, simply. A good business is one that can drive down overheads and start spending less. So look to where you can make some long-term reductions – maybe through better insulation, better double-glazing, more energy efficient company cars or even through small things such as turning off appliances and installing energy efficient light bulbs.
It won't save you a fortune, but it certainly reduces utility bills significantly in the long-term. This means less outgoings and a better financial model for your business.
Steve Ford, special services manager, Allianz Engineering, says: "More businesses need to be aware that even small improvements to energy performance could have a significant effect on their fuel bills and carbon emissions.
"Commercial properties and buildings currently account for nearly 25% of the UK's carbon emissions, contributing to global climate change. Our energy audits have found that businesses can save significant amounts of money on their energy bills, whilst remaining compliant with energy regulations."
