More than half of small businesses are not aware of the amount of financial support available to them from the Government.

According to the new research by the Asset Based Finance Association, 56% of small businesses aren't aware of the of the Enterprise Finance Guarantee Scheme, Working Capital Scheme or the Capital Enterprise Fund, which have all been developed by the Government to provide much needed financial support to the country's small businesses.

Kate Sharp, chief executive of ABFA says: "Over the last few years, the Government has stepped up to support UK small business organisations through various schemes. Unfortunately, there is a severe lack of understanding among this group about what financial support is actually out there. If they don't know about the schemes, how can the Government help them?"

If you are in dark as to what sort of finance is available to you, or you are in need of a financial boost in these tough times, talk to a mortgage adviser. They will be able to help you navigate the maze of Government initiatives out there and they will be able to advise you what's best for your business.

And if you do not qualify for Government help, there are always options for you in the form of business loans and commercial mortgages. Even though funding is constrained, there are choices out there which will help your business survive and thrive in the recession. Talk to a mortgage adviser today about your business' financial future.
